On Wednesday July 18th Helen and Chris will lead a run to Alverstoke to sample fish and chips (or alternatives) from the well renowned "Village Fish Bar", and eat them watching the boats sail past in the Solent.

We will meet in Basingwell Car Park, Bishops Waltham SO32 1PA, from 6:30pm ready to depart at 7pm prompt. The destination if the evening is fine will be Alverstoke Beach Car Park next to the IRB (inshore rescue boat) station off Military Road, Stokes Bay, Gosport PO12 2TR. If the weather doesn't oblige, we may detour to the nearby Alver Hotel (as we did when it was pouring with rain for the same event on a previous outing!).

The fish and chip shop closes by 9pm so we will be taking orders on the evening prior to leaving, then will phone them through.
