Re: OXFORD area calling for new blood
Yup great Jeffers - look forward to it...
Also just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome at the meeting last night, even if I did ruffle a few feathers having the only 09 reg 5 in the carpark.... Definately looking forward to Pooh Sticks next weekend and am just about to sign up for the email updates so I can get the other dates onto the calender!!
Oh and by any chance did anyone find a lone blue stripped scarf near where I was sitting, I think I left it behind...
Woody you missed a good evening, try to make the next one

Re: OXFORD area calling for new blood
Hey,
Yeah did make it over briefly but looked like the meeting was already in full swing as you were all inside i think as saw huge group through window when driving into carpark! Had a look around the two MK1's i saw quickly but was in mates car that was having running issues so didnt want to make him stay too long so couldn't come in and say hi. Soooooo many MK3 owners i noticed! Will try make it to one in future when i have a 5. It's cool for me as can go between this meet and hemel ones as both so close! O nice MK1 whoever has the fancy painted green one!
O on a side note, how evil are those "speed bumps" on the way into the carpark!?

That's a limited edition Le Mans! You need to be a poser to drive one of those!
Shame you didn't come in and introduce yourself, but there was rather a lot of us to be honest.... but we don't bite! (not normally anyway) and you could have had a piece of birthday cake!

Yes, was left behind. Contact Jenny and Dave (area coordinators) think they picked it up and still have it ?

Re: OXFORD area calling for new blood
Thanks Alan, yes had an email from Dave, he has my scarf so I shall get it from them on Sunday!
Also, thanks for the times for Culham Locks - see you there... I also wondered if there was a plan to do a bit of a drive and get lunch somewhere or was everyone going there own ways once we became the pooh stick champions????
As for "Fergie" I'd not thought of that... good idea... Was starting to think I'd have to call it "Yuri" to match the "YRE" ....

Re: OXFORD area calling for new blood
Not sure what is happening for lunch to be quite honest Quin, but I am sure we can find a pub somewhere
