Re: Club Night - Wednesday 27th January

Was pleasantly surprised with how big, light and airy it was compared to the bar area so ,yes, why not try to make that the regualr meeting venue.

One word of caution though Eric; last summer it was getting really busy OUTSIDE the pub with the regular Boule club meeting there also. It really was a struggle sometimes to get a parking space so it may be woth making a few discreat enquiries as to whether that will be an ongoing situation this year. Whilst it's great to see many new members,  it does mean there will be many more cars to park this year in what became a very busy car park last year. I am assuming that the Boule club may well meet on a weekly basis so they will always be given priority over our monthly meets.

    Just my thoughts.....

My understanding was that the Boules Club was a temporary relocation while their own facility was out of action, but I will check.

Shame you couldn't make it.  It was a good night and a lot of  new members there too.

Keep an eye on the Valentine's thread for meeting instructions.

     More thoughts on club night

Really good in the restaurant, partly because there were so many. When the light nights come there is usually quite a few people gathered outside. So could this be a winter solution only. That way everyones happy regulars that dine too. They wouldn't have got much of a look in this week would they.
