    Well you have proven a bit more air flow makes a big difference to the temperature then! wonder how much a "pretty" naca style scoop would improve it. if it does the job then it will be fine for the track im sure! think id remove it for day to day though as it looks a bit random to say the least Wink

    Also on the quest for ultimate streamline or just good looks if you pop your bonnet up and give the rear lip of your offside headlight cover a gentle tug it will raise up and meet the bonnet better Thumbs up

     Erm.... looks a bit silly!

    The intake headlight covers from mx5parts are quite expensive but would look much better... {#emotions_dlg.bigsmile}

     Hi Mattics - Just in the process of putting on a "Sticky" plate. From your pictures it looks like you could have left the Badge in place. Am I right as I am really having a job to remove mine and will end up breaking something so would rather leave alone?

    Regards

    Where i have the plate its about 2mm inside where the badge could have sat but no reason you couldn't keep both i just preffered it without. on this one i just pressed from underneath withthe bonnet open and using the flat side of a kitchen knife, but on my previous '5 there was a little more sticky stuff on the underside of the badge but a bit of dental foss took care of that!

     Thanks. Will leave my badge on and see what it looks like.

    Great series you are doing with some fab photo's. Am on my first MX and am finding it a great help.

    Re: '93 Eunos Vspec - my online workbook

    Not a bad idea with the air scoop.

    I did a similar mod on my old Ford Probe. (horrid 16v version though!)

    I bought some tumble dryer ducting and a right angle section which had a round part at the top for the ducting to clamp onto, and a rectangular 'scoop' on the other from Focus.

    I poked the 'scoop' out the bottom of the under tray, and had the ducting to right up into the airbox through a drilled hole.

    It worked really well, especially when at speed, classic bit of Ram-Air effect collecting that cold air from under the car.

    The only drawback would have been if I went through any deep puddles, and it would have scooped up the water a treat, but I doubt it would have the force to go up the whole length of ducting and into the airbox.

    Rod, you need to get yourself one of these from ebay. Cheap and dead simple to fit, just wrap the wires around 2 fuses.

    You need to be a contortionist to get to the fuses, but boy it does save the battery going flat.

    Re: '93 Eunos Vspec - my online workbook

     Hi Charlie - You do need to push each arm of the Diode firmly down into the respective terminals as far as it can go and it should then make a good contact. Once you get it working put a bit of tape across it just to keep it in place but it should be firmly held anyway.
