THE RUNS AS DEPICTED ARE TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE SAFE AND COMPLIANT WITH CURRENT ROAD USE LEGISLATION BUT THIS CANNOT BE GUARANTEED BECAUSE ROADS DETERIORATE AND ROAD LAYOUTS AND SIGNAGE ARE CHANGED FROM TIME TO TIME. IN USING THESE INSTRUCTIONS THEREFORE, THE DRIVER UNDERSTANDS AND ACCEPTS THAT HE/SHE REMAINS FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY OF THE VEHICLE, ITS PASSENGERS AND FOR ADHERENCE WITH CURRENT LEGISLATION.

                                                                                         CONVOY GUIDLINES

Note: The aim of these rules is to ensure a trouble free and pleasurable day driving your MX-5 when on group driving events.  They should be treated as guidelines, and are not a replacement for the Highway Code. Safety should remain a priority at all times.

    1.    Please be aware of the start time and help the organisers by being ready to leave on time
    2.    If you are going to be late arriving at the start or can no longer make the event, please ensure the organiser is aware
    3.    Respect the organiser and their event. If you have concerns about the speed / routes etc then talk to the organiser in advance
    4.    Ensure you have sufficient details about the event i.e. route / key locations. Always take a map/sat nav to ensure you are self sufficient should you become separated
    5.    Keep up! Leave a safe, but reasonable distance between you and the car in front
    6.    Keep an eye on the car behind! Make sure you have visibility of the car behind you prior to taking any turnings, junctions ,crossings etc.
    7.    Always use your indicators in plenty of time to guide cars in the group
    8.    When the group passes through a congested area, it should try to stop as soon as safely practical to regroup before any turns are made
    9.    In the event of a problem, flash your headlights to alert the car in front. If the car behind flashes its headlights, flash yours until the leader pulls over
    10.    Finally, if you prefer not to drive as part of the convoy please let the organiser know in advance so they can provide you with the necessary directions. It isn’t compulsory and may be preferable should the speed / route not be to your liking
