Summary of Meeting on 28^th April 2010 

New Venue

Our first meeting at the Barley Mow, Milford. We were made to feel very welcome, the food was good value and were given a separate quiet area at the back of the pub which was ideal. The only problem was that the room was hidden away and members found it difficult to find us, so next month we will be putting up posters pointing people in the right direction.

Treasure Hunt – 25^th April

Everyone agreed it was a great day out and thanked Rob & Wendy for their hard work in organising it. A lovely run starting at Stafford and finishing at the Wheatsheaf Onneley with fun answering the questions en route.

Ludlow Bangers/ Bread/ Beer & Classic Car festival – 9^th May

This is a regional event, but as there are a few of us interested in attending it was suggested we have meeting points en route and other members will be contacted via email & the Forum.

Drive to Ironbridge – Sunday 23rd May

We will be meeting at 10.15am at the Longford Island Retail Park, Cannock (next to McDonalds) and Lee & Andy will organise the route to Ironbridge.

Spring Rally 2010 – Northern Ireland

Unfortunately none of us are able to make this event, but if any other members are lucky enough to be going we would like to wish them a really enjoyable trip and look forward to hearing any feedback. Lee would also appreciate it if anyone could let her have copies of the routes of the drives.

There were problems agreeing a date for a run due to Fathers Day and holidays. Members to be contacted via email / forum to find a date that suits the majority and a decision will be made at the next meeting.

Visit to Lakeland Motor Museum, Cumbria – 25^th July

The museum is offering discounts to members (see STHT page 37 of April 2010) for more info. Details of the day out will be finalised at future meetings.

Trip to Wales – August

Mandy & Steve have offered to organise a drive in Wales. Date & details to be discussed at future meetings.

National Rally – Chatsworth – 18^th & 19^th September

Don’t forget to book if you haven’t already done so.

Thanks this is just what I need to keep informed of the club meets and whats happenning. Unfortunatly I have to work most club nights so I am unable to attend.

If you have any ideas for runs or meeting places, you can forward them to me for consideration by the region.We will also keep the forum updated with the meetings for those who are unable to attend.

 Hi to all

Would love to attend the drive to Ironbridge if I can but am a little confused by the date. Is the 25th May not in fact a Tuesday?. I predict a typo!!!. :). Off topic but can anyone shed light as to why my smilies are not working, they used to but don't now. :(
