A14 and Broads sounds good to us! We use the A14 a lot to go to the Midlands.

Eric, being a late booker yourself are you in the house or Marquee for the Pie and Pea supper? Just thought a man in your position may get certain privileges!!!

I wouldn't dream of trying to pull rankWink  The rules say tickets up to 300 are in the marquee and the rest are in the building, so I guess that's where I'll be along with the rest of the late bookers.  As long as there's a bar, who cares.

    Re: National Rally Chatsworth

Having ventured that way in July can suggest a route avoiding a lot of busy A roads.  Venture over to the A10 via Harlow, follow up to Royston and straight north via Papworth to Godmanchester.  Short stretch on A14 come off at Alconbury and drive beside A1M to Norman's Cross.  Back on A1 (Stibbington Services has a good greasy spoon - where Monty broke down!) to A47 (Leicester) turn follow towards Duddington - right turn to Collyweston, Ketton and thru to A606 on B roads, go past Rutland water, bypass Oakham, at Melton take A6006 towards Ashfordby amd follow till you reach the A6. (close to East Midlands Airport.)  From there you can get on the M1 up to Chesterfield or take A roads around Derby or Nottingham.

    Hope this helps

    See you Sunday

    Allie

     Hi Eric,

Alex and I will be setting off on the 18th and booked into the Legacy Chesterfield Hotel.  Not sure what time we are starting off as yet.  We are also attending the P&P dinner.

Thinking of doing the afternoon drive once we get to Chatsworth.

    Regards,

    Izzy

Add me to the list for Sunday, hopefully I will find you. I am only travelling from Glossop so no Sat Nav needed.

Hi Joy. Suggest you start at the Merchandise tent. Drew, Dee and no doubt some NT helpers will be around there.

    Re: National Rally Chatsworth

    Paul (10AE),

Are you going to th Pie and Pea supper?

I notice on one of your other posts that you were considering it and were told you would probably not be in the Marquee; well just to let you know that Paula and I were too late in booking so our tickets are numbered over 300 therefore we are in the overflow room and not in the house with the rest of the NT rif raf!

So, did you send off for the tickets in the end and if so have you got high (over 300) number/s???

Umbrella [um] Re: National Rally Chatsworth

     Hello Brian,

Yes I did contact Pete about the pie and pea supper and apparently I'm not too late book myself in, so once I've filled in the booking form I'll send it off in the next couple of days. So I'm affraid you're all going to have to put up with me for the evening!! Just hoping the weather improves a bit!!

P.S. Are you (and the family) going on the Hendon run? If so I'll see you at the A127 diner for 9am Sunday.

    Paul.

    Re: National Rally Chatsworth

The plan is now that it will be me and one of the 'small annoying people' coming to Hendon.

At least I'll know one person at the pie and pea supper in the overflow room if you're only just sending off for ticket/s now!

Will it be just yourself or will your newly found 'ladyfriend' be joining you for a romantic getaway in your tent?
