    Hey all

Just thought I would pop on and say Hi.

The other week my X was looking at an MX-5 and asked me to take a look as I have been into jap cars since I got a supra back in 2001.

Anyway took a look at the car was solid enough no major issues for its age 93. No rust at all.. but I expected that as imports usually have a lot less rust..

Drove it and wow what an awesome drive... kinda made me fall for them.. i knew the rep they hsve for being good handlnig cars but power wise they always seemed a bit low for me.. but the 1.6 engine was revy and pulled well for such a small engine..

Anyway im gonig on a bit..

I dont have a decent car at the moment had to sell my MR2 Turbo a while back to fund the deposit for my flat plus could not really afford to run two cars as well as pay for rent on the flat plus everythign else..

So was thinknig about getting an MX-5 to replace my current runabout a 51 place hyundai accent.

I really like pop up headlights for some reason so wil lbe going for an early model... one thing i wanted to ask i know that being an N/A exchaust/induction mods wont up the power too much so wanted to know can these cars loose much weight. I.E. im not sure why they come with air con so can that safly be removed?plus can anything else be stripped off?

I can do most mechanic stuff myself as well as basic body repairs so i dont mind an older car and also dont mind getting a cheap one that needs work..

Ill check out your buying section for tips on that :)

Anyway im based in Cwmbran South wales
