    Re: Daves Latest Roadster

Replaced the shift boots today & fitted a BMW E36 clock / cubby & a pool 8 ball gear knob.

A word to the wise if anyone`s thinking of fitting one of these clocks, try & get a right hand clock as you can`t see the time in 3rd or 5th gear with a left hand one. They are harder to find than the left hand ones but worth the wait!

New leather gaiters on the way too Big Smile

Also fitted a nice stainless steel slam panel so i can rest my coffee cup while tinkering! Also gives me somewhere for a sticker or two.

Good to see old habits die hard and you're well on the way to full blingness on this one too!

    Loving the look Dave.

Trouble is the seller also had a few other carbon bits........well it would have been rude not to wouldn`t it?

Complete with toggle hazard switches which are made by Dave-M on Nutz if anyone wants a set.

More pics to follow when i find time to fit everything!

    Re: Daves Latest Roadster

Recently bought a MK2 hood with glass screen  & fitted it last Sunday. Due to the dark evenings i had to wait untill early finish Friday to check for leaks & put the interior back together!

Quite a simple job but didn`t expect the old hood to be riveted to the rain rail. Found a useful tip in Rod Grangers manual though about cutting them off with side cutters (i actually found pincers easier) so after that it was all plain sailing Thumbs up

Just need the switch & harness & hopefully the HRW will be up & running.

Fitted my jass.performance heater control panel today. Very happy with the look & quality but jeeez those control knob grub screws are fiddly buggers!

Next job the dial cluster panel me thinks!

    Re: Daves Latest Roadster

Another little addition to the interior revamp.  Big Smile

My rear view mirror had seen better days & i fancied something more "Retro" than the OEM black plastic one.

Now we all know i`m too tight to buy the real Mccoy so i snapped up this old Jaguar Lucas mirror for £12.49 on Ebay & knocked up a mount at work.

Not the easiest of things to take a good picture of & needs a clean but you get the idea!

    Re: Daves Latest Roadster

Thought it was about time i bit the bullet & fitted my jass-performance cluster panel.

First time i`ve had a dash out so a bit scary but took my time & all went to plan.

    So from this

To this in a couple of hours.

Along with the heater control panel it compliments the steering wheel perfectly IMO.

Followed by a nice topless test drive of course Smile
