The Dark Peak is the northern area taking in the Gritstone Edges and The Hope Valley,
The White Peak is more on the Limestone area, and includes an old rail tunnel, inside which you can act like a big kid and toot your horn,
The runs were plotted on miles, and the kilometers are a conversion, so bear with me if the kilometers are very slightly out.
If you fancy a splash, the Tissington Ford has now re opened by now, have a look at in on the map, turn left before the turn into Tissington village, signed Alsop and Parwich, left at the T then left to Tissington, via the ford, re start the route with the coffee stop on your right.
UPDATE for SEPTEMBER and early OCTOBER
Burton
I'm not sure whether this is bad new, but Severn Trent have got major works planned in Tissington for September (5/9 - 2/10/2011) with closures on The Green and Darfield Lane. This would prevent through traffic to or from the Ford.
