Re: Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance Driver - Sunday 7 August

    1 August

    Hello everyone

Sussex Air Ambulance Drive - Sunday 7 August
    Meeting point  - 0815hrs for 0830hrs
Pull In area to the Perimeter Road on the North side to Shoreham Airfield.

Well just a note about a meeting place for this Sunday's day out with the drive from Shoreham Airport to the Lavender Line as I thought it might be nice to all arrive together at the Main Car Park.

There are 8 cars taking part in the run and we will be :-

    Sarah Jarrett & Martyn Terry
    Barbara & Alan Sayers
    Dudley & Sheila Davies
    Chris & Heather Unsted
    Alan & Pauline Harrin
    Chris & Margaret Firth
    Peter & Mogs Kilner
    Me & Jenny.

    + 3 to be confirmed :-
+ Ian & Angela Shaw [TBC]
+ Geoff & Maz Davies [TBC]
+ Dave & Pat Phillips [TBC]

The Terminal Car Park [in front of the Main Airport Terminal] is where the run starts. This is a Pay & Display Car Park area.

I suggest we all meet up to arrive together and there is a Pull In Area on the Perimeter Road to the north of the Airfield. If you make your way to Shoreham Airport and enter from the North on the A27 by turning in at the traffic lights into the Airfield and join the Perimeter Road. There is a pull in area on the river side about 200m along the Perimeter road.  I will be there from 0815hrs and will wait there, provided they are not operating a no stopping ban, in which case please continue to the Main Terminal Car Park and we can meet up there.

I believe there will be staggered starts,  but I have no idea how they will present the route to us!  What an adventure!

I will take a picnic for lunch but there is mention of a BBQ at the Lavender line + some surprises!

I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday - hoping for as good a weekend as the one we have just had.

    Best wishes - Paul
