MORE FREE TICKETS FOR CLUB MEMBERS!!! THANK YOU MAZDA UK
We started the 2011 motorsport season at Silverstone and (barring the Autumn round of the Ma5da Racing 12 hour event at Snetterton) it looks like we'll be ending it there too...

Many Club members have already witnessed the BRITCAR exciting, close action this year at Donington. We may have been there to watch our friends at Ma5da Racing but the Britcar Endurance event that followed the MX-5s had to be seen to be believed. For those that didn't make Donington this is your chance to watch the GT2, 3 and 4 cars share the hallowed tarmac of Silverstone in an epic battle. Cars (from million-pound Moslers to the MX-5) all race together, into the evening and through the night. Watching the sun set whilst these cars race round is quite surreal, to see them still out as it rises again is absolutely breathtaking. Many choose to camp on the infield to grab a few hours sleep during the night, plenty though make a night (and a party!) of it and push through.
And that's not all, the Gadget Show will be there, racing against the 'real' competitors in their own 'virtual' competition!

Mazda UK have been kind enough to offer 30 lucky people the chance to attend the BRITCAR 24 hour race at Silverstone this October for free. With an open pit lane and access to the whole track you could spend a weekend watching the action from all the best viewing points whilst having a nosey behind the scenes too. Anyone who watched the Top Gear challenge will know that to keep a car running competitively for 24 hours is a huge task but the three MX-5s entered stand a really great chance of winning their group...maybe even a one-two-three? Look out for Jim Cameron, driving the Help for Heroes liveried '5.
AND, as if that's not enough, support races include the Smart 4-two cup (anyone that watched these maniacs rolling over at Donington will know just how entertaining they can be!!!), Porsche Cup and of course, our good friends at Ma5da Racing with three Mk 1 races with full 50+ car grids...AWESOME!!!

The Jota-prepared MX-5s are far from standard (although the new 'Sport Black' model carries clear styling cues from it's race-bred brothers). Having seen the car close up it's clear to see that it won't be a comfortable ride but (I'm guessing) pretty nifty...

All you have to do to stand a chance of winning one or two ticket(s) is reply to this post; Louise and I will pull 'names out of the hat' nearer the time and inform the lucky winners by PM and add names to the list below. The MX-5 OC is running this as a competition, rather than 1st-come 1st served, to be as fair to those that may not visit the forum regularly or indeed be away on their hols. Remember, you've got to be in it to win it
So, if you've nothing planned for the first October weekend, or just fancy seeing what all the fuss is about, pop a post below...
