We plan to be there by about 09.30 am and will try to drive in to the paddock area then. Jon and Taff, very comendable on your chores and soft talking efforts but spare a thought for me as it is my (our) wedding aniversary tommorow. Silverstone is a wonderful place to celebrate it.

    Regards, Phil.

When Nick says tank, he literally means a TANK!!! Challenger II to be precise!!!

    Apatchie tomorrow I believe.

Had a very pleasant day at Silverstone today, trying to photograph the MX5's in the Britcar 24 Hours. Thanks for the ticket - well worth being in the OC if this continues!

Re: FREE TICKETS: Silverstone BRITCAR 24 Hr 30 SEP-02 OCT 2 EVENT FULL (AGAIN!!!)

Wow! Great event thanks to Jon and Remowill for the tickets, we had a great couple of days up at Silverstone.

Picked up a few more stickers for `Lightning MxQueen` (Dunlop and Sunoco fuels) and quite a bit of sunburn Cool

Here (especially for Remowill who couldn`t make it) are a few pics from the event:

First a few from before the start, camera phone only so not top quality.

Bit of evening damage on one of the `standard` MX5s resulted in a Mazda `press car` being robbed after a bit of contact in the darkness.

    Bit tasty Merc racer:

`The Gadget Show` were in the next-door garage, doing a full 24hr video game simulation of the race in real time (£20k for the chair) Shock :

Another shot of the missing press car bits:

Met up with our local MX5 racing team, Blendini big thanks to Isobell, John, Tom Roche and to top mechanic Mike for the diagnosisThumbs up

Thisty work this `Drifthing` big thanks to little Belinda Challis for the ride in the `Drift Taxi`Thumbs up

Also a big thanks to Mrs EunosAngel for being so good and coming camping at such short notice, yes I will pay to have your hair re-done, darling! Rolling eyes

All in all a big weekend, a lot of fun and a lot of smilesThumbs up

Thank's Jon for providing the tickets for a great weekend. Our first visit to Silverstone and hopefully it will not be our last! A couple of pics of the great little cars in action (well maybe not for 45, but he did make it back out at the end).

Re: FREE TICKETS: Silverstone BRITCAR 24 Hr 30 SEP-02 OCT 2 EVENT FULL (AGAIN!!!)

Yes thanks once again Jon for getting us to be a part of a great race weekend, much appreciated. The nightime racing and pit access was a totally new experience and superb. I wished I had managed to meet a few of the other members that attended but when you dont recognise someone it is a bit difficult in such a busy environment.

Dr you jammy so and so on sticker front. We asked at Dunlop but they did not have any and I never got a chance to ask at Sunoco. Oh well another time.

    Still a fantastic weekend.

    Regards, Phil.

Well hello there! Small world, I was the one in the unforgettable green and white surf shorts and an amazed Mrs Eunos who was completely starstruck by the lovely cars about to be punished in high temperatures for 24 hrs solidBig Smile

Shame we can`t get some nice MX5OC embroidered polo shirts made up with peoples names or forum names emblazioned on them or a badge or something so everyone can meet eachother while `on tour` and at my age it would also help me to remember peoples names, even in my own area....Embarassed

Hope you had as good a time as we did, Jon and in our case Remowill did us proud with the ticketsThumbs up
