I can't believe I didn't post this here!!!
We are back at the charming Blyton Park Circuit on Saturday 5th November. Home of MazFest and next years RX-8 Club AGM trackday.
Blyton is a wonderful place, very safe of novices as there are very few hard objects to hit is things get over excited, in Richard Usher, the owners own words, "barriers and banks have been removed so as not to punish drivers over exuberance". However the circuit is not in anyway bland and has slow medium and fast sections that are huge fun to get right. It is a circuit for both total beginners and experienced drivers alike and is also the circuit where the Mazda Britcar 24hour car was tested prior to Silverstone.
After the day, we will be having a bonfire and fireworks to celebrate that most British of traditions, of "MP's getting away with it, yet again!"
The price is £129, but if you are an OC member and you contact Jon Smith, he can give you a discount code to get the day for £99, which is a bargain track day, and although he does not know it yet, we will probably ask Rob Boston, last years Ma5da Racing MK1 champion and this years MK3 champion to be our instructor.
We should also have our new Mazda based SR2 car which we will be happy to do tuition in or even that you can hire it to do some laps of your own in.
