Hi Jon we met at the national in September. If there is anything you would like me to do then please shout. Also I am a driving instructor so could do advanced road tuition, another option to offer on the weekend?

It would be great to hear from you.

    All the best Duncan

I'll be coming to both days hopefully. I've done three days at Blyton before but 'er indoors is wittering about having a drive so I'll be nervous! Perhaps the best thing would be to send her out with an instructor rather than with me. She's been a passenger before so has some idea of the lines etc but it'll be a steep learning curve for her.

Out of interest, what's the consensus on cars other than MX's on track? I have a Sylva Riot I use as a track car which I could bring along as well as my Mk2 RS but if it was out of place I'll leave it at home.

If anyone would like a few passenger laps with me they're more than welcome, just ask on the day. I'm no driving god but I'll hopefully get us round in one piece.

    Hi lincnick,

I hate to sound the prude but this is the first MX5OC Motorsport event and I'm keen to keep it MX-5 only. To be fair, there will be a lot of inexperienced drivers on the circuit so keeping the playing field even will be better for all, including the more seasoned drivers and more powerful '5s.

Instructors will also be freely avaiable, I'm not going to run a booking system as there is plenty of opportunity over the two days for everyone to glean some of their experience but this might be of value to Mrs lincsnick?

That's fine, it's probably a good idea to keep it all MX5. I'll take my wife out for a few laps as a passenger first then put her into the tender hands of an instructor which will be better for my blood pressure and probably hers too.

Hold on, hold on, £150, for 2 people, open circuit, skid pan, gymkhana, camping, hog roast, partay over 2 days?!  Consider this "not interested in track driving tbh" newbie now thoroughly interested!

Apparently some models of '5 come with a flexible waterproof sheet that extends from the back of the parcel shelf over the drivers head to the top of the windscreen. I've heard it called a 'roof'? Sounds unnecessary to me!
