Your help is much apppriciated, as you can probably tell I have neglected to do any homework on the club since joining in November. I am somewhat in the dark as to how these rallys

A few of our area have returned the form advising of the routes we wish to drive as requested, but what I don't understand now is why we had to advise this, if the drives are not being led? Seems a waste of a stamp to me, we should have all just been told to download the drive. It read to us that the routes were available to download for those wishing to try them on other days or in their own time whereas the Saturday was allocated for those wishing to do organised runs. I think many have read it in this way and perhaps it requires clarification?

We do appreciate your comments. The problem we had was the Olympic Torch authorities where reluctant for security reasons to disclose exact route or times. Whilst it did'nt need rocket science to know that the torch was inneviteably heading up to Falmouth from Lands End, we could'nt be certain as to when or where. We requested information from our membership purely so we could determin the likely problems as the Torch Route facts where unravelled to us. Ok, it has cost some an envelope and a stamp, and we oppologise if this conveyed the wrong impression, but you have the knowledge that we have subsequently started runs from 3 seperate points, and not having led runs has ensured everyone will make their start offs at varying times around the County. This was felt to be in the best interest of everyone.

There will obviously still be some delays on Saturday moving around Cornwall, wherever you go.

Notwithstanding any of this ... the runs are there to be enjoyed, and will show off our Cornwall to fellow national Mx5 OC members.

We all look forward to meeting up during Rally Weekend.

I have just seen the pictures of the Falmouth Beach Hotel in flames on the news, is this the Hotel you are using for the Spring Rally ?????

 There are no led runs, but I am sure there will be others at the start points at various times waiting and wanting to be with other 5's.

 

Have booked tickets for guided tour of Lost Gardens of Heligan on Saturday but there is not a time stated on either tickets, leaflet or rally info?  Can anyone help?

Just had an email from Linda Butterworth confirming that the tour starts at 11:00, and takes about 2 hours. Advice from a local: sensible shoes, sunscreen, hat, just-in-case coat, camera and aim to arrive in good time to get parked up and meet people.
