Copied off the press release, and I'm led to believe you might find a competition in February's STHT with something linked to this very event up for grabs...

What is the Donington Historic Festival?
The second Donington Historic Festival, a major fixture on the international historic racing calendar, will take place on Saturday 5th May and Sunday 6th May 2012. The event was launched in 2011 and the first Festival exceeded all expectations, delighting spectators and competitors alike. The second is set to follow suit, aiming to rival the very best UK and international historic motorsport events, and inviting only the very finest race series and the highest-calibre cars and drivers – but with ‘family-friendly’ ticket prices, well below the usual cost of top-quality historic motorsport weekends.
As well as more than 300 world-class historic racing cars competing flat-out on the Donington circuit, the 2012 event will see 100s of classic cars on display, plus a trade village and plenty of off-track entertainment, including historic karting, taking place on a specially laid-out circuit using the Donington GP loop, and featuring some 150 historic karts, including machines originally campaigned by Graham Hill and Ayrton Senna.
On-track in 2012 the race action will see more than 300 iconic racing cars battling it out in a packed programme of historic races from the 30s to the 80s, with wildly diverse grids that range from Group A Touring Cars to Group C sportscars, taking in pre-63 GTs, 1950s and 1960s sportscars, pre-War cars and much more besides.

Calling all car clubs!
Car clubs of all sizes are the backbone of the historic car movement, and the organisers want to see as many as possible represented at the Festival. Consequently the Festival organisers are offering members of registered car clubs a special entry package, to include a two-for-one ticket deal (exclusively for pre-booked car clubs), along with dedicated members’ parking and club display areas, at no additional charge, right in the centre of the action, next to the race paddock and trade village. In addition, there will be track parades for a limited number of cars from the clubs that register to attend.
This gives entry to two people for one day of the Festival for just £18 (i.e. £9 each), or for the whole weekend for just £30 (i.e. £15 each) when they book in advance, as opposed to the on-the-gate entry price of £25 per person per day (£40 for the weekend). PLUS your ticket gives you two-for-one entry to the stunning Donington Grand Prix Collection over the weekend and for the following two months. And for every pair of advance discounted tickets you buy, you’ll receive a car parking pass for the infield clubs’ display area (please note, this is for ‘club appropriate’ vehicles only, to make a great display!).
Tickets can be booked through www.doningtonhistoric.com or by calling the 24-hour ticket hotline 0844 873 7355. You must quote your unique club code and book in advance to secure the discount. For more information on the Donington Historic Festival, see www.doningtonhistoric.com
