Hello Mx-5 peeps

Had a message from Di (the lady at the Dalby Brewery who did the tour). She also owns the Fleece where we had our breakfast cobs.  There has been another shift around - she is back running the Fleece herself with 3 chefs, she says.  She is very interested in accommodating us again at some point in the future for a group 'do' so, if anyone fancies giving the Fleece a whirl one evening or Sunday lunch outside of the usual meetings (or is looking for somewhere), please give her a ring - 01664 822262.  Alternatively I am quite happy to gather some names and numbers and arrange a one-off meal out there. She's organized a number of car 'do's in the past for other clubs I've been involved with so has plenty of experience in feeding groups of hungry car bods.

(my original wedding reception was there nearly 20 years ago!!)

Di has now sold the Golden Fleece.  I'd expect it to move upmarket judging by the new owners' other pubs.

new people are in the Fleece - at great personal sacrifice, Mick and I ate there on Sunday = excellent lunch.  What might be of interest to us is that they do a Wednesday special.  Pizza/pasta night, starting at 5.95 and some other food will be available as well . is there any interest in booking one of theWeds runs there, later in the year?

Sounds good. We currently have the September, October and November Wednesday meets available, so if you're able to arrange for one of these that would be brilliant.

 Wotcha.  I mentioned this to Karen at the skittles night, I'll do a bit more research and tentatively book it in, if you like.  They seemed quite interested in having us there when I discussed it with them in principle, though no dates were mentioned at the time.  If we get enough peeps we can perhaps have the whole conservatory area to ourselves and it's just a few steps down to the bar!!  I'll work towards setting it up for the September meet - it'll probably be too dark to have much of a drive in the evenings then, so able to concentrate on other things, like beer and food.

 Excellent. I've pencilled it in on the calendar for September, however if the arrangement / date changes, just let us know.
