Please click this link  Chip Shop Run and print off a copy of the route. It is essential there is a copy in each car to prove there is no timed element and everyone knows where the are going, and the ultimate destination.

 PLEASE NOTE:   REVISED START TIME   10 o'clock

The drive will now start at 10 o'clock from Markeaton Services.

Having done the recce at the weekend we realised that we need to start the drive at 10 o'clock.  The drive is approximately 65 miles in total with a coffee stop at approximately 35 miles.  The coffee stop will be for about 40 mins.

PLEASE NOTE THIS DRIVE WILL BE ON SATURDAY 31ST MARCH 2012

 John has now planned the route and we hope to recce it this weekend.

The starting point will be MARKEATON ISLAND SERVICES (A38/A52 Junction) DERBY with a start time of  10.30 am.

The estimated total mileage will be 55 to 60 miles with the usual coffee stop at Longnor.

This is new route will be taking in flowing B roads, narrow by-ways, villages and open country side which I am sure you will enjoy.    

We expect to be in Castleton at approx 1.30 pm. 

We will be checking that the Chip shop will be open on that date but if you don't want chips there are plenty of alternative eating places available.

Please register your intention to take part in the run as soon as possible so we can advise numbers to the coffee shop at Longnor.

So far in our years membership, we have attended a couple of car rally events and visited Duxford with Eastern Region as organisers.

Can I book our friend Dave Eastgate into the run? He bought an MX a few months ago, hasn't got around to joining yet, but is thrilled to bits with his car.  He would like to come on the run as a prospectve member - hopefully when he sees how lovely we all are, it will give him the nudge to join!  Dave will be on his own in the car, wife Jan has other fish to fry (ho ho) on that day and will travel with us.
