South East Jubilee Weekend MX-5 Treasure Hunt - 3rd June 2012
Organised by Guy Bartlett. - South East Member
We will meet at the M20 services by Junction 8 (Leeds Castle turn off) 10am Start.
Each team will be given an envelope. In the envelope will be a "Treasure Map", the Rules and a roll of sellotape. The Treasure Map is a piece of a4 paper divided into 20 squares. In each square will be the name of an everyday item that the team must find and attach to the map using the sellotape.
Once the team has collected at least 75% of the items (minimum of 15 items) they can choose to return to the start.
Each item they did not collect earns a 10 minute time penalty.
The team gives their map to Guy. He will give you your overall time.
After 3 hours, or when all teams return, whichever is sooner - we work out which team has completed the map in the shortest time.
They are the winners. Rules will be given out on the day. The judge’s Decision is final.

I remember (in 2005 I think) attending an EXCELLENT treasure hunt organised by the club. We all met at Hildenborough train station on a Sunday morning and were given a question sheet, then finished somewhere near Kings Hill (I think). Does anyone remember that?
So, this treasure hunt sounds great fun too and I'm very interested in coming!

We need a few more to make this a great day.
I can't promise it will be bright and sunny, but I can promise you will all have a good time.
It's an event that everyone can participate in, no matter of age, creed, colour, mental capacity or anything else!
There is even FREE sellotape!!

I've asked my friend and his partner if they're interested, as he's recently bought a Mk1 and joined the OC, so hopefully that'll be another 2 more!
