    bobbadillo:

Hi Jon - sorry if this sounds daft, but I would like to come along and watch. I understand this costs nothing, but do I have to book a pitch to camp? Also, if I camp on the friday night, how do I pay?

One more thing, who is the band on the saturday night?

    Chhers, Rob

    AFAIK Saturday camping is free

Friday is £12 and at this late date I would suspect you will be able to pay "on the door". think about 30 are stopping + staff on Friday.

I will be there...and your only other expense in order Might be..

£10 Passenger arm band- Allows you to ride in any cars on track At the owners permision...Including mineWink

    £ x for food

    £ xxx for beer

I dont know who the band is...ther is a limit to my knowledge...Just dont let on to too many!

    Alan

Cheers Alan - very tempted to come up for Friday night too, bound to be a beer fest!

You mentioned a 'limit', this is a limit on tents/motorhomes I presume? I'll have a 2-3 man tent....

    Nat and Noel:
We plan on coming for the world record attempt on the Sunday but not racing as our old girl really isn't up to all that rushing around! Do we need to purchase a wristband or just turn up with the car, watch whats going on and then join in with the parade. If so what time would we need to get there for?

Just turn up, even camp for free on Sat night and join the party if you like.

    GWR briefing at 11.30am

No limit on camping as the site is huge.

And dont bog your car down with stuff, as the few hard core members

(that's me) will have tools, spanners , jacks etc

Im not hard to find, just look for the bald head, strikingly bold underwear and a few well placed comedy T shirts

Hi Jon - sorry if this sounds daft, but I would like to come along and watch the track shenanigans, and drink copious amounts of beer and fall over... I understand this costs nothing (apart from buying said beer), but do I have to book a pitch to camp? Also, if I camp on the friday night, how do I pay?

One more thing, who is the band on the saturday night?

Indeed neither watching, camping or enjoying the Saturday hospitality will cost you a penny; beer tokens are all you need. And there's plenty of room for camping so no need to pre-book.

If you do choose to join us Friday night, just come to the welcome desk and we'll swap 12 of your finest pounds for a windscreen slip to say you've paid.

The band is actually a disco, we lost our band to a better offer!!! To be fair we we're only giving them expenses so I can't say I blame them Big Smile

Where would be the fun in practising?!

In true Top-Gear style you'll get one flying lap, engine power really won't be everything, driver skill and finesse will win the day...so expect a lady-winner Big Smile

All those present on Saturday will get the chance to enter over the lunch break, then we will open the auto-test again on Sunday for those chaps and chapesses to have a go too, but time pressures mean the competition will have to be done on the Sat, the GWR attempt will mean that all our efforts will be focused elsewhere so the auto-test won't be timed on Sunday.

Did I mention that you start in reverse? Big Smile

No limit on camping/motorhomes bobbadillo, I just have to ask an extra £12 for Friday night camping that you can pay on arrival if you're unsure as to your plans this early...and yes the bar is open Friday night Big Smile
