Re: Blyton Bash: queries answered here!

    Yup.

In order to maximise available track time the auto-test (and competition) will be run for two hours over the Saturday dinner break; no practice, first time counts, and the winner will recieve their (rather spiffing) trophy at the evening party.

On Sunday the autotest and track will be jointly open (we're running the slightly shorter 'in-field' circuit to allow us to run both concurrently). No prize for this one sadly, purely for fun.

Re: Blyton Bash: queries answered here!

Hi Jon, I've read through all this thread but can't find what I'm after.  Will there be any catering (butty vans) on site on Friday evening?  I saw that the bar will be open, but just not sure I have enough room in the 5 for the BBQ with the camping gear going in.  Should I bring food for Friday or will I be able to buy something there?

Second the question re. a butty van.Bacon sandwich in the morning would be very welcome I'm sure.

Also what camping facilities are there - is there a shower block?

     There is a shower block.

im not certain on the caterer being there on Friday but I will be on site with the mother of all Bar B Q's and everyone (not the whole world mind you !)

is free to come and cook on it.

Just look for Flagpole with a beer on it and a Rising sun....I shouldn't be too dificult to find.

From the info Jon sent out there is no catering there on friday night but the pub in blyton is very good and cheap :) and not that far away.

There are 3 showers in the shower block so you should be fine.

and yes there will be food on saturday morning (I'm also sure it said it in John info pack) ok i might have just read his info.

PS Alan should they not also be looking for the light shinning off you head :) / drunk racing driver wondering round the place that include's rodders.

Alan your a star, if we can't get the BBQ in the car we may take you up on that.  Regardless we'll be round with a beer or two to have a chat :)

General comment, my missus has very little interest in all this, shes is coming along to make sure I don't trash her car :D  I'm sure it would make for a better weekend for her (and so for me), if she has other non car nuts to talk/chat with.

No food Fri night, lou and I are planning on nipping down to Gainsborough and bringing back a Chinese...

Breakfast: Lincs Hogroast are providing all our catering and are open from 7.30am through until the evening hog-roast, same on Sunday.

So let's get this clear. With Lincs Hogroast it is:

bacon sadnwiches for breakfast / sausage sandwiches for lunch / hogroast for tea

Hog Heaven! Then again, the piggies of Lincolnshire would probably disagree...
