Pics needed of tan interior with black seats.

    Evening everyone.

I noticed yesterday that the seats in my Mk1 have started to wear a little and noticed that it has started to wear through on the drivers seat edge. I have been looking into getting them re-trimmed in the original colour leather or getting the 'DIY seat covers' but so far i'm quite surprised at how much they cost !! Well in my search i've found a cracking set of black cloth 'bucket' style seats that look great, but i'm not 100% certain they'll go with the rest of the tan interior? The centre consol and top of my dash is black so I don't think they'll look totally out of place ?

May be a bit of a long-shot, but does anyone have this colour combination and do you have any pictures ?

Cheers for that AT. Looks a lot better than I thought it may do.

Had a message back from the seller though and it appears that they will not fit my car after all, even though they're listed for an MX-5 !!
So it's back to maybe looking at a re-trim, or finding someone with a good nick tan leather drivers seat.

Now there's some food for thought !! Liking the two-tone look very much.

I think i'm going to have to go down the re-trim route as I don't seem to be able to source a good drivers tan seat.
All the re-trims do seem VERY expensive though.

    Hi Ady,

Have you tried The Car Trimming Company in Romford? I had my Gleneagles seats re-trimmed by them and I thought the price was pretty reasonable.

If you want to have a look at the quality of the workmanship you're welcome to pop round and have a look, I'm in Halstead.

    Cheers,

    Andy

These were from The Car Trimmers, quality for the price is okay but could be better. The way some of the sections are cut are not done in the best way, I helped a mate fit them to my car, he's a professional aircraft trimmer and pointed out a few minor failings. Also quality will depend on the Friday night rush job or the Monday morning hangover job, some people have got sets with wonky seams etc. All in all though, I am pleased with the results.
