I should still be ok for this, I expect to have a car by this weekend.
I'm taking over my son's car, which is currently SORNed and in storage while he's away travelling, until the other driver's *** insurance company comes up with a better write-off valuation for my car.
So I would still like a suspension alignment as planned, just on a different car ;-)

Just called STS and spoke to Dave (Keiran's day off today).
He was one of the most helpful people I've ever dealt with!

We talked through several potential tyre options for my 15" wheels, but as I've only owned the car for a few months I'm not really up to speed on the best tyres for the car.
A few examples were mentioned, including:

- Yokohama Parada Spec 2
- Pirelli P6 (cinturato)

I've had a look on tyrereviews.co.uk, but I'd really appreciate any real life MX5 specific recommendations or feedback anyone can give please (for normal road use).
Gonna go for 195/50 15 all round. For some reason the car currently has a rather mad combination of tyres with 185/55 15 on the rear and 195/50 15 on the front!
A bit of a mishmash of makes, tread wear and age too,  - all legal, but definitely need to get them changed!

Sorry for the lack of response, you should probably try something in the technical section (wheels tyres and suspension)

My View 

Budget end I think the Parada are fine once they are bedded in or everyone seems to like the Toyo T1R's 

Top end 

Michelin or Goodyear seem good choices.

Kieron was trying to a deal with a company for the this day so I will chase him to see what is happening.

I have just ordered my tyres x 4 TOYO PROXES T1Rs from Camskills £279.80 good price best I could find not sure if anybody else is after any this site is worth a look, will take over to STS the weekend before, I am going to go for a engine oil change as well,  I will supply OIL and filter have you any recomendations for OIL, looking forward to the day, have spoken to David at STS what a very helpful guy.

Do I need to be there at a certain time ?

I had popped down to STS today after work and was there with David when you called re: the Toyo's. Probably inundated with MX5 queries over the last few weeks! I know I've called twice....

I'm considering the Toyo T1R's as well and found them on blackcircles.com for £41.88 each inc VAT + £9.50 postage (£177.02 in total) That's for 195/15 R15 V though. Not sure what size you went for. Am I missing something as this sounds almost too good to be true.

To be honest camskills were even cheaper (£32.50 inc VAT!) but they were sold out in the size I wanted.

Just check you are looking at a different size I'm getting 205 x 50 x 16 standard size on a MK3 1.8 just checked Blackcircles £80.75 x 4 £323.00 + £9.50 P+P so still looks like I'm quids in at present, have not had the confirmation yet so may well end up trying Blackcircles as this is still cheaper than the Yoko H I was looking at.
