    COBRA

who would give up their 5 for this cobra in Ludlow today?

    I probably would.

Seeing it's a kit car I'd be happy to do a straight swap for mine, probably got the same engine anyway:-)

    Re: COBRA

I wouldn't swap my 5 for it.  The dashboard was terrible - it looked like varnished plywood and I suspect it only had a 2 litre Pinto engine.  Now, the red Fiat Dino with the 2.6 litre Ferrari engine might tempt me, and the turquoise Ford Thunderbird certainly was...... ummmm.... noticeable, but the drive back on the A4117 over Clee Hill was perfect MX5 country and I had a great drive home.  Happy to stick with my 5 Big Smile

Having driven a mk5 Cobra and a fake Cobra with a 6.3ltr engine I can assure you smiles are guaranteed in those as well, they just cost more as you watch the fuel disappearSmile   I'm pretty happy driving more or less any sports car as long as the roof is down and the sun is shinning.

Yes, a rather nice Opel Mantra and the MGTC always brings a smile.  I have to admit that the old Morris 8s have a special place in my heart; my father owned one when I was a child and that probably gave rise to my lifelong passion for cars.  I also have a soft spot for the Moggie Minor.      Its not just horsepower for me, its the character of the car and that's why the MX-5 has won my heart for the past 14 years Love
