    Spare keys ( Mk1 )

I have a spare set of keys for when the inevitable happens, what I don't have is a second one of those little round button thingys that you have to touch to the receptacle under the dash rhs. Can they be had from somewhere or is there a way round that?

I too would be interested in the answer to this question as well.

I am aware that if I were to lose the immobilser fob then I would be well and truely stuck.

You can order spare/extra immobiliser fobs online, you just programme them to your immobiliser as per the included instructions. You'd have to know what make your immobiliser is obviously. It often says on the fob.

Mine's a Toad so I googled Toad and ordered the cheapest one available.  There were several companies supplying them.

    Re: Spare keys ( Mk1 )

I didn't have anything about the immobiliser with my car either but it said Toad on the fob itself.

This is the company I ordered the spare from: http://www.southerncarsecurity.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=63

It was just a question of reprogramming both the existing and the new fobs with the immobiliser, in the car.  I didn't need a pin number or anything.

    Re: Spare keys ( Mk1 )

There are no markings at all on my fob, but I do have a little mazda booklet amongst the paperwork that describes it and it's workings. So I'm assuming it's a Mazda factory fit and I'll have to go to them for a spare..

    ££££-ouch!!  Sad
