Wow what a day!
Thank you to everyone involved in organising this great event.

As a new member I was extremely impressed. Coffee and tea on arrival. A competition laid on for the members. Wheel refurb deals on offer. Wonderful attitude and genuine interest and care from the guys in the workshop. Superb.

It was really nice to see the variety of models, age and colour of cars up in the air and being worked on, whilst having an opportunity to chat with the other owners and enthusiasts that had supported the event.

Going for a drive to test the setup was also a great touch - and a chance for me to have a treat as a passenger in a certain white Mk1 (photos and video to follow...!)

I feel like my car has been virtually rebuilt now that it has new brakes, tyres and fluids. Of course I'm taking it easy until the tyres and brakes settle in, but already I've noticed the alignment has improved the handling. I no longer have a slight pull to right and the lurching noise I was getting when coming to a complete stop seems to have gone too - thanks to the STS miracle workers!
Gonna pop back soon to get the drop links replaced (work rubber seals).

Let me add my thanks to all the rest Kev. After fitting my new springs the alignment was just what I needed. The car had a slight tendency to drift to the left which is now completely rectified. I've been putting up with the slightly odd handling for a week while the springs were bedding in but now it's back to it's usual superb self.

Also, I hadn't noticed how low the tread on my rear tyres was getting. We noticed when it was up on the lift having the gearbox oil changed so I was able to take advantage of Kieron's super prices. The Pirelli P1s he fitted for me were over £10 cheaper than I could have got them from Black Circles.
