Lol - I didn't necessarily mean a better forum, perhaps I should have said a better 'board'!

I've checked that the car is still on the road on the vehicle enquiry bit of DVLA's website. But I'm not convinced they would hand over the address of the registered keeper.

Perhaps you all could just keep an eye out for me when you're out and about!

it's worth checking all mx5 forums

i'd also check the regions with encompass North West, Cheshire & North Wales, North West Midlands and the Peaks & Pennines
Go their regional forums and see if there are photos of runs
You may spot your old car in amongst them

A better forum? - No way! We can't guarantee that the present owner is a member, or a non member who might subscribe to this forum, you'll have to wait and see if there is any response. Have you tried the DVLA? Never done it myself, but they have records of all registered cars still on the road, you might get lucky?

Hi there, I have joined this site to help in my search for our old MX5.

It's a blue 1.8i sport, registered 25 Oct 2001 at the Bolton Mazda dealer, registration MV51 WKD. I bought it for my husband as a wedding present and we had a couple of lovely years with it until I fell pregnant and we decided it had to go. We are now in a position to buy one again and would really like to see if we can track down our old one as it has such sentimental value to us.

Please advise if there is a better forum to post the info on.
