MX-5 OC Forum

This was featured on page 41 of the last issue of STHT, and full details were given in my e-mail communication of 21/2/2010.

We will meet at the Boreham Interchange (CM2 5PS) on the A12 with a planned departure of 09.15 am.  We will arrive at West Stow Country Park IP28 6HG, 5 miles NE of Bury St Edmunds, at about 10.45 to meet up with Northampton, NE Midlands and Eastern Region members before all leaving together for the final leg to Southwold.

For those North Thames members preferring to go straight to Southwold, there will be a second meet at the Boreham Interchange (CM2 5PS) on the A12, with a planned departure of 10.30 am to arrive at Southwold at about 12.00. 
Individual travellers and the convoys will hopefully all converge in Southwold around lunchtime!

Finally, please remember that the clocks go forward on the 28th March, so don’t forget to set your alarms before you retire on Saturday night !

If you are planning on going please post below or e-mail me at eric.terry@mx5oc.co.uk and let me know whether you will be in our first convoy going via West Stow or on our second convoy which will go straight to Southwold.

You are welcome to come along Phil.  PM me your e-mail address and I'll add you to our newsletter distribution list and keep you up to date with what's going on.

You never know, you may get to like us and want to join the Club.

Eastern Region were at West Stow on Sunday, between about 11.30 and 12.30.  It was surprisingly busy.  I suggest head down to far end of car park, where there is more space.  And if you want to use the cafe expect a very long wait (or bring own coffee), as they were very busy yesterday, and we queued for about 40 mins...  And I supect there will be a lot more of us on the F & C run and I doubt the cafe staff will have speeded up any by then..!

Everyone who has signed up so far is going for the early start.  Looks like a good turnout.

Don't forget to put your clocks forward on Saturday night.

The present Mrs and I are looking to join you all at Southwold. Looking with googlemaps etc. and TomTom we are unclear where you will all end up.

Will it be the York road end of Ferry road, or elsewhere? (TomTom doesn't seem to like the full postcode noted in STHT mag)

It doesn't take much for us to get lost, so any info welcome

Hi Martin. with so many of us we'll  be parking wherever we can.  Ken stated in a previous post that we'll be heading to Mrs T's for fish and chips.  "Next door is the Sole Bay Fish Co, serving fresh fish platters including Suffolk oysters (bring your own wine and bread) and a short stroll away is the Harbour Inn, serving excellent pub grub and a great selection of Adnam's Ales.  Parking is available all along the harbour, up the road near the Golf Course and at the bottom end of the harbour in a large public car park."
