MX-5 OC Forum

 We've done the paperwork, arranged everything with the Mazda garage, but now we are having to wait patiently for the DVLA to sort out the cherished number plate on our trade-in car!  Can't wait ..... and just hoping that the weather will be good enough for 'roof-down' on our MX5 collection day!  We always 'name' our cars, and are calling this one Kato .... all I need now is a car!

 It's brand new, so I suppose it is a 2010 - but I am new to this make of car, so please feel free to correct me - I think it is a Mk 3?

She is a 2 litre, 5 speed, I think it is an 2.0i SE, and it has a hard roof electrically operated. 

 Now it is time for us to have fun, and we think that the new car will be a big help with this.

 Hi Elizabeth D - I would have thought that either you or your lovely husband would have had a nice photo uploaded by now?  Getting excited, but have to wait for the blasted DVLA to get a wriggle on.  I think that I am going to wear out the carpet going back and forth to see if the post has been!  Even worse, I am going to wear out the road between home and the local sorting office every morning if we haven't received anything by the back end of the week! 

Thanks for the good wishes for the weather - but it's going to be a lovely day, no matter what the weather does.

 Hi Geoff - not that it matters really, but I think it is going to be a MK3.5 .  Just hanging on in there and waiting for the cherished plate to be released off the trade-in car, and then I won't waste any time in collecting the new car.  I really would have thought in this day and age that the DVLA could have simply accepted our payment and done the paperwork there and then - but no, we have to wait!  Blasted shame - it is a lovely sunny day today.
