Wootton Bassett Mothers Day Bike Ride.

I went Top-down of course to Wootton Bassett today, to witness and pay my heartfelt thanks to all those bikers (10,000 plus) who rode through the town as their way of honouring those who gave all  and all those that gave, it was a very emotional moment for me being both a biker and ex-RAF.Salute

I left there after a couple of hours top-down, and  went home via Lyneham Banks, I didn't see another 5 all the way there and back where were you all.

Interesting reading, I to am ex RAF and used to be a biker in my youth.I also served at Lyneham for seven years. My youngest son is a member of the Army, so this thread is close to my heart. My reason for  my reply is to say a big WELL DONE  to the bikers for taking the time and trouble to remember our fallen heros.

They want to stage it again next year, fingers crossed I'll try to get an entry. I did 23 years as a Fireman and now a "Firefighter" with the MOD, miss the service sense of humour, social lifeBeer and work ethic.
