We went across to Farndale on Easter Monday, the Daffys are almost out, so by Sunday there will be a good display.
Whilst the path up the dale is paved, quite a but of mud has got onto it, so wellies or walking boots are advisable.
Rachael at The Feversham Arms made us very welcome, shame we could not stop for another pint.
To cut down the time we have to wait for the food, we will be giving out menus at the start of the run, and phoning our order through to the pub.
Their full menu can be found at.http://www.fevershamarmsinn.co.uk/bar
The portions are as big as ever, did Bryn ever finish his Plowmans Lunch?
The aim is to get to the bikers cafe, for a cuppa and a bacon buttie at around 10:30, 'comfort stop' at the top of Sutton Bank and eat after walking to the Feversham Arms at about 3pm.
If the car park at Low Mill is still closed, we may stop at the Park and Ride in Hutton le Hole, and catch a mini bus to the start of the walk .
I will contact the National Park office on Friday afternoon.
£2.50 for an all day ticket.
Those who do not wish to walk all the way up the dale to see the Daffys can spend an hour or so in Hutton le Hole and catch a later bus to the pub.
Riding back to the cars after the pub, is a further option,
We will return via Rosedale Chimney (very steep with a hairpin), and split up just outside Malton.
A64 and A1 / M1 those those returning to the northern part of our area,
A19 or over the Wolds to Howden, (mind the speed camera) M62, M18 to M1 for those going to the southern area.
