MX-5 Owners Club do JAE at Wicksteed Park

"JAE is a full weekend of camping, entertainment and actvities which embraces all Japanese cars from the UK and Europe for a weekend of like minded family fun.

Now in its 15th year, JAE continues to be the favourite event for the Japanese car scene."

I have now booked pitches at this event on September 10th - 12th 2010. There will be discounted entry tickets available for those members who would like to display their car on the Club stand, camping on the Friday and Saturday night is included. Places on the stand may be limited so it'll be on a first come first served basis.

Update July 5th 2010 - MX-5 Owners Club have been allocated pitch numbers U2 & U3 in the Tokachi Area. We are next to CMMOC and Dorset Jap Car Club.

Update July 14th 2010 - Advance tickets now available at £20 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday and include camping on the stand on Friday and Saturday nights. Please order from me before August 13th. See last post.

So I can get an idea of numbers, please register your interest below.

Watch this space for more details as they become available. If you have any questions I will answer as and when I can.

That's a relieve being as your name is down as a point of contact for the organisers during the weekend Katie. Remember, you agreed to it at your 40th party!

    Advance Tickets

I am now able to order advance discount tickets for JAE and would like to put the advance ticket order in by August 13th. The cost of a weekend ticket is £20 per person. Under 14’s get in for free when accompanied by a paying adult. Tickets on the gate cost £25 for the weekend or £10 for one day, although the day ticket is pedestrian entry only so you will have to park in the public car park. Advance tickets bought through me will allow you to park your car on the Owners Club stand which I reckon will have a capacity for around 25 cars and tents (camping on the stand is allowed) or more, if people are happy to pack up their tents during the day.

Payment can be made by cash, cheque or Paypal. Please email me for further details.

    Show n Shine

Each Club is allowed one entry into the Show ‘n’ Shine on the Saturday, the cars will be parked in the main activity area for the whole day. This is not only an opportunity to show case your car but also a chance to promote the Club.

By way of a small thank you the Club will refund the £20 entry fee to the owner of the car chosen to represent our Club in Show ‘n’ Shine (not sure how to chose the car yet!)

Email update from the JAE organisers:-

    Hello,

Well it's only about a month to go and it's all getting very busy so I thought I would update you on a few things affecting this year's JAE.

We now have a new sponsor for our Show n Shine who will be managing the entire event for this year and who will also be there as a trader.  So not only can you win trophies and awards but also buy their products as well!  Kleers have been doing great things at this year's Modified Live events and we're really pleased to have them with us for this year as well.

As you have no doubt seen we have expanded the area from last year and even that seems not enough!  A new layout will be issued shortly showing what we've added but the club stands are as before so no need to panic - we've not moved you.  All that means we're tight for space and now that we will run the IKO and Five-a-side in different areas we've got more time to do things.

In trying to give the judges more time and also to try and keep down the amount of traffic movement we have decided to put only the best show cars together and all in one area for the day.  We will have security there especially for the cars and the judges will be on hand to give them all the best attention.  The judges are also being provided by Kleers and these guys have a lot of experience at judging events so it should be a step forward.  Each club will have one entry but can earn more by ordering advanced tickets.  Order 20 and we will allow two vehicles, order 50 and we will allow three.

Booking forms will need to be downloaded from the JAE website and replaces the one you've already been sent.  The new form can be found here: http://www.japcarclub.com/page.php?a=2&s=90&p=90

Make sure the form is filled in and either return it before the event or drop it in at the Admin tent at JAE either on Friday or very first thing on Saturday.  If it's late you wont get in!

Keep an eye on the JAE forum for the latest, add your club name to all the competitions, and see you in a month or so!

    Cheers
    John

    Email update from JAE organisers:-
    Hi,

We've just announced the RC track for this year's JAE.  So tell your members to bring along their RC cars for some off-road fun.  And as with almost everything for our weekend visitors it's completely free!

    Have a great weekend!
    John

I now have the JAE tickets and will get them posted out hopefully this week. Out of interest, please could people let me know which day they intend to arrive and if they are camping or not.
