MX-5 OC Forum

Following on from the success of this event last year Les Daniels has now organised the North Thames Picnic and Fun Day 2010 to be held at Walton on Naze on Sunday 15th August.

We will be leaving the A127 Diner, travelling through the Essex countryside,passing through Maldon, Tolleshunt D'arcy, Colchester, and onto Walton.There we will be parking in The Naze car park.We will Picnic adjacent to the Tower, where we can relax and have a chat and a nice cup of tea, and hopefully catch some sun, followed by some light activities. (as per last year ). Then it's down to the beach for a wander, a dip in the sea (if you feel brave ) or a stroll into the town .

Lets hope the weather is as good as last year. .

Rendezvous 2 - Supertyres, Maldon CM9 6TW for deparure about 10.15
... and other meeting points along the route by arrangement.

If you are not a North Thames member or even an MX5OC member you can still come along you will be made welcome.

Sorry, won't be able to get to this one. Kids come back from their Switzerland Scout Trip at 8am that morning after travelling for nearly 24hrs. I would not wish a day in their company on anybody, never mind my parents!

 Are we meeting at the Thomas Kemble, if not then details please of the meeting time and place. I know it is early days to be thinking of it but I am away next week only getting back Sat sometime.

 Peter is hoping to be there with Monty (he's getting too hot under the bonnet again!)

I unfortunately won't be able to come as will probably be in the Lake District by then as part of the support team for a charity Lands End to John O'Groats cycle ride. 

If Monty is better by then Peter will be bringing a mate (Nigel) as passenger.

 Unfortunately we cant make this as we will be away camping that weekend.

            We will be leaving from A127 Diner which is on the A127 funny enough, between  A132  and  A1245  Southend bound.

            I would think 9.30.am departure should give us enough time, Diner opens from 8.00.am.
