    THE RED DIVISION

    Following considerable argument on the Forum about various merits of colour, i think it's about time the REDS had a place to find peace & comfort.

    There are MX5 owners who are loyal to a certain marine related hue but they appear few and far between, some say because of exclusivity others know it’s through misguided loyalty.

    The name Blue Brigade is presumably based on the British Army.

    Brigade is generally thought to number 3000 to 5000 persons

    Fair enough & they may recruit enough to almost cover the lower limit, but, consider:

    The British Army Division is in the region of 10000 to 15000 in number (you know where this is going?Big Smile)

    THE RED DIVISION is the proposal on the table which is this electronic Forum.

    All those in favour of RED, please register your interest on this thread.

    If I am wasting my time, Please do tell me, But, only if you have a red car. Wink

    One of my motorbikes is red, but my MX5 plonks me firmly in the marine hued mob.

    My reason for posting (not wishing to fan any internecine tiffs) is I wonder what colour is most numerous amongst 5's - all models. The general car populace has to be silver or grey, surely.

    That's right Joe, exclusivity is what it's all about, there may well be more red cars than blue cars, but according to the Father of the MX5 Mr Bob Hall, when asked what colour God's Miata is, he replied Mariner Blue of course

    Her'es the original quote from ask Bob on Miata.net

    Normal 0 false false false EN-AU X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-priority:99; mso-style-qformat:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0cm 5.4pt 0cm 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0cm; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; mso-ascii-font-family:Calibri; mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-fareast; mso-hansi-font-family:Calibri; mso-hansi-theme-font:minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-theme-font:minor-bidi;}

    As you may well be aware, there is a great debate on what color God's Miata is. What color is God's Miata?

    Eric Knight, Indianapolis/IN

    I thought everybody knew. It's Mariner Blue. It matches her eyes.

    I am surprised that it has not been mentioned that red ones are faster.
