 I've only joined the OC this year, so don't know if the club usually organise a trip to Le Mans.  So:

1) Do they?

2) If not, do the local areas organise trips?

There have been trips to Le Mans in the past, just keep checking the Events section.

Usually try to go every year (since '95) and plans for 2011 are already well underway! Fingers crossed camping in Tetre Rouge again...taking the 5 again of course...and hopefully no speeding fines this year. Although to be honest I was quite proud of the ol girl for being able to hit such dizzy heights fully laden!!! Usually go down on the Weds before (using Dover-Calais crossing) if anyone is up for a convoy.

Used to be HUGE here, will be again.

How about millions of Mx-5's paying homage in my home town!

Er...lost me on that one! Thought the thread was about the worlds greatest motor race...held at Le Mans, France...mid June. I might be wrong of course...

I think he means Gorbals-sur-Sarthe, between La Melle and Alencon, I think ;o)

Almost got there this year with some guys from on here, then work got in the way.

My early New Years Resolution is to do everything next year I failed to do this year so I'll be seriously looking at it, and would gladly go in a convoy, always more fun and of course strength in numbers when it comes to the Gendarmerie.

any of you interested in le mans classic 2012? i missed this years went to 06 and 08 was a really good weekend!

I need to go to le mans for both the normal race (can you call it normal?) and the classic at some point. They are both definetely on the need to be done during lifetime list!

the classic is amazing! plus the drive down is out of this world, the roads are great!

Indeed, I must have had  a brain storm.

I, of course, meant Monte Carlo Rally that is starting from Glasgow in January 2011.

That had been announced a few days earlier, and it took me back to my childhood, with my late father, watching the cars start from Glasgow's  Blythswood Square RAC club.

Wonderful memories of wonderful cars roaring into the distance.

I have been in Le Mans, sadly only  passing through.

I am very excited i am going this year with my Partner (in his car tho  ).  We are looking to stay in http://clubvalan.co.uk/ as we have heard good reviews of it. So it will be nice to see some MX5's in the mix too.  If you see someone in a white Honda wave as it will be me.
