Blue1, how are these on the road at speed??
Do they give, as in bend while travelling.
I found that when i had mine on a solid aerial it was as if it was trying to get off, but with the aerial i have now it gives when travelling.

Had to get mine taken off by Kwick Fit as the previous owner didn't provide the fitting to remove them. Quick trip to Halfords who looked up the right ones for the car, spot on for size and fitted easily, £39 later and all sorted.

Got my new insurance quote through the post, Tescos will be so kind as to automatically renew it if I don't get in touch, @ £218 for my good lady and me it's not that bad so I'll let it run (limited to 6k per year)

Cleaned out the f-- oops! - flipping drain-holes and removed the 'writing equipment' (one ball-point-pen)
that was down by the roof-drains. No lip-stick though!

Ha! To be honest, a complete disaster!
Ok up to 65mph, a bit more noise than I expected but then whilst on the Norwich bypass it all suddenly went very quiet!
They both sheared off at the base I guess the flags I bought were only for hand waving and not strong enough for car use.
I am re-designing now using 5mm dia stainless steel rods but as you say, I may have to find a way of stopping them riding up or down though.
Another mod I did was to fit a rubber washer to the base fitting to stop rain water draining into the boot.
