    Beaulieu - an Update.

Thanks to Lisa at MRC, this event has been collected from a dire end and resurrected; It will now be organised by Beaulie, and held on July 10 only. Both MRC and RX8OC are already on the case, with good promised turnout from both clubs. The link on the cancelled thread gives current information. ( http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/beaulieu/simplymazda) Now - someone from this Club needs to contact Beaulie, and ask if tickets already bought will still be good for the re-organised event.

Not really my concern as I am not going, but someone needs to volunteer to get our end sorted for all those eager beavers who want to go. RX7/8 Related links are here -

Note - we managed to get 600 cars at Haynes, let's see how many are willing to go to Beaulie. All things considered, seems a shame that the rotary clubs have to step in to save an MX5 event, so let's show we are still capable of attending, even if not actually organising - - - -

agreed someone with a lil experience of these types of events would be doing all of us that still want to go a massive service...any one up for the job?

O/K  - in the absence of a volunteer, I have decided to do this myself. I'm in the process of talking to Beaulie, traders etc and will hopefully have more to say in a while, just don't hold your breath. However - take it from me (famous last words) this event IS ON. It won't be "An Official Club Event", but it will be an EVENT nevertheless.

    Re: Beaulieu - an Update.

O/K - to save you searching, here's the event page from Beaulieu (I keep missing the u off the end!). I have asked what discount we can get on ticket prices, and I have this offer from them -

If we order 10 tickets, then you get one free, and for every 10 ordered you get another ticket free. While it's not ideal, it does represent a 10% saving, and better than a kick in the head, so it's up to friends and Areas to sort this out for themselves.  Afraid I'm not offering to do this for everyone, the process of paying in cheques and mailing out individual tickets doesn't represent a saving as far as I'm concerned. You will still have to access this page to order tickets - unless you phone of course, so 'Click Here' below won't get you to the order stage!

    Simply Mazda

    Sunday 10th July, 2011

The first Beaulieu ‘Simply Mazda’ event promises to be a great day out for all enthusiasts of Mazda.  Owners of Mazda vehicles are invited to bring their car to Beaulieu and become part of the event.

This event is open to all Mazda Car Clubs and we are delighted that the Mazda Rotary Club, MX-5 Owners Club and RX-8 Owners Club will be joining us with their club members.
    Mazda 3
    Pride of Ownership Competition
All owners taking part have an opportunity to enter the Pride of Ownership competition with the winner receiving a £100 cash prize and a Beaulieu trophy. The winner will be one of twenty vehicles chosen by the judging panel to go on display in the Main Arena and take part in a cavalcade.

    Entry
Entry into the Beaulieu Parkland with your Mazda is from 8.30am – the Brabazon Restaurant will be open for bacon rolls, cakes, teas and coffees.

    Mazda MX-5Ticket Prices
For entrants arriving on the day in their Mazda and joining the event on the Beaulieu Parkland, individual prices are adult £10 and child £5. To book in advance please click here and select 'Event Tickets' and 'Simply Mazda 2011' or for more information about group or club entry and concession prices, telephone 01590 612888 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              01590 612888      end_of_the_skype_highlighting. All other entries will be via Beaulieu main reception at normal admission prices.

Admission to the event includes entry to the whole Beaulieu attraction; the National Motor Museum and World of Top Gear, Palace House and gardens and Beaulieu Abbey.
    Mazda RX-4
The above tickets are only valid if arriving in a Mazda. If you are unable to bring your Mazda on the day, then you can upgrade your ticket to a General Admission ticket in Visitor Reception on the day.

    Re: Beaulieu - an Update.

Thanks Mark - en masse I hope?

Now, as this no longer qualifies as a Club Event, sooner or later it will get moved, no doubt to 'Other Events' - whoever moves it, please leave a tracer - thanks.

Anyone interested, please look in Other Events for further posts after it get's moved.

Disclaimer (humorous one) I am NOT organising this event, just trying to populate it - I have already been warned that it's not a Club event, and therefore I won't get any backup.

    Re: Beaulieu - an Update.

Well I can say, you've got my support Gerry. How can you have a Mazda day without the MX5?

I think as many as possible should support this event, after all the Wessex area were happy to instigate it origonally, and still would be without unforeseen circumstances...........and I don't understand why this thread should be moved?

    Hey - you're a Mod!

Club Events - Events organised either on a National Basis or by an Area but aimed at all Club Members.

Area Events - Events organised by an A/C or Area Member (with sanction of the A/C) for Area members

Other Events (Non Club Events) Events organised by someone outside of the Club, but publicised on the Forum (i.e Beaulieu, JAPS, JAE etc.).

Club and Area Events are covered by the Clubs insurance (such as it is) Non Club Events are not, but should be covered by that event organiser, however that insurance is Public Liability only (usually) and won't cover property belonging to an individual or to a Club. The only excepttion is where (as an example) Exhibitions organises the Clubs stand at one of these events,. where he and any Marquee erected belong to the Club. - that doesn't happen much these days - - - -

Club insurance covers Club officials for decisions made, where something happens, or Club property - - - but not your car, your shoes, socks or you either!!
