MX-5 OC Forum

The Northampton Area warmly invites all MX5 Owners to join us on our annual Spring run to the coast for Fish and Chips;  last year we saw over 100 cars descend upon Southwold in Suffolk.

This year we are going to Bournemouth, to Harry Ramsden's right on the seafront by the pier, after parking up at the Winter Gardens public car park (250 spaces), just a short stroll away.

We shall leave from the cinema car park at Sixfields in Northampton at 08.30 hrs and travel down the A43 / M40 / A34 / M3 / M27 / A31 and A338, stopping at Chieveley Service Area on the A34 / M4 Junction at 10.00am and Rownhams Service Area on the M27 westbound at 11.15am in order to meet up with other groups of cars.  We should arrive in Bournemouth at c.12.30pm.

We are hoping to beat last year's record of 125 cars - so one and all are welcome to join our "convoy to the coast".

One hell of a drive, but I'm up for it!

I understand that members of the SWM Area and Moonrakers are planning to attend this event.  Perhaps you could link up with them en route.  That would be cool

I will be seeing if any other South West Area members are interested at our monthly meeting on Tuesday 8th March. If there is any interst from other members I am going to suggest that we meet at Tesco, Dorchester DT1 2RY which is just off the A35 Dorchester by-pass. Turn left (If coming from the west) off the bypass onto the B3147 towards Dorchester centre at the roundabout with the Weymouth road A354. Going to suggest we meet up at 10.30am for a 11am departure for Bournmouth on the 29th March.

If you will keep me updated would be good I hope a few from around my area Burnham, Taunton will tag along .Unfortunatly I will not be able to respond to any messages between 6-21 March as we are going to have to suffer cruising round the Caribbean in all that horrible sunshine during this time. But as soon as we are back in Burnham from Barbados we can look forward to Bournemouth.

GmoLargey, Western plan to meet up at Tog Hill Nr. Bath, and go via A46, A36 then M27 to get to Rownhams Westbound Services. Time of meet up will be published at next meeting.

 I would really like to go to this but don't fancy travelling on my own, are there any more 5 lovers near nottinghamshire i could join up with?? surely im not the only 5 owner in notts lol.
