Gorgeous looking car dude, no question there!

What is an arc magic thingy? What does it do?

And what is the charcoal thing you removed?

My car has air con but it has never worked in my ownership. It's always been on my list of things to do to remove it, is that part of the system?

It replaces the standard crossover pipe with a deeper one. In theory a pocket of air is stored in the chamber so when you accelerate its there instantly giving better throttle response. Drove the car a fair bit since installing it i have to admit it seems some what sharper :)

Cant remember what the charcoal canister does i just know it is easily removed and helps tidy up the engine bay.

    Re: My V-Spec

Had a go at refurbing my worn/marked dash top

Rather than respraying it i decided to have a go at removing all the black and having a full tan dash.

    Pics during,

    And after

Still got all the tricky areas to tackle but it is coming up nicely :)

Liking the look of your car a lot. Need to ask though: what have you lowered it by? 30mm? It's a good looking stance right there. Not slammed and not on tip-toes. Good Job

    Re: My V-Spec

I bought it at this height so no idea unfortunatly.

Will be 30mm i would imagine maybe a little lower with the bilsteins.

Tasteful mods that still manage to maintain an original appearance for the car. Class.

    Re: My V-Spec

Zoom lid now fully restored and i have been messing with the interior again and this is where i am at.

The chrome rings were starting to flake and i had grown tired of the bling. The radio surround, dash cowel and centre console have also been given a coat of plastikote to freshen them up.

Got a de-mister cover coming from mx5parts to finish the dash off and i'm also looking it to getting the dash cowel flocked.

    Re: My V-Spec

Big compliments for the dash and especially for removing the chrome rings (it doesn't suit the car in my honest opinion). Oh, and the Zoom fuel lid is really great, did you buy it in the UK and what did you pay for it? BR, Michiel.

    Re: My V-Spec

What did you use to remove the black from the dash?

Did you re-paint etc or is this the original base colour?

Did you have to remove anything to do this?

Please let me know as I'd like to do the same myself.
