Sparco Sprint V bucket seat - how to improve cloth wear rate?

Just fitted a nearly new Sparco Sprint seat and really pleased with the result: comfort, support, and brain slightly below the rollbar which is nice.

But I've noticed that the cloth is really thin, no extra material around the important side areas that rub when you climb in & out. I'm worried that within a short period of time the seat will look knackered. Has anyone got experience of this seat and any suggestions for improved life span?

Can strips of leather or suede be bought specifically for these vulnerable areas?

Perhaps I should be more worried that I'll be too fat to fit in it after Xmas anyway?

Any recommendations (not about my bum) appreciated.

    Steve.

I've got a worn out Sparco seat. I bought some suede and velcro to make a wear proof patch on it, but I didn't get around to making it and it wore through in about a year. A stitch in time and all that...

Velcro sticks really well to the Sparco seats - it's how they fix some parts of them together.
