were you a day boy in 'Smith House' Truro School?  If you were, we were in the same house, same school but I was the year above and a boarder.

Yes, that's me, 7 totally undistinguished years at the school on the hill. If you're going to the Spring Rally, perhaps we could meet there.

Well I've booked a cottage by the Helford River for a week so hopefully should be at the rally, working on my car at the moment trying to get it back on the road. Will be easy to spot me, be the bald old git by a red V8Big Smile See you there.

Lots of groups and couples booked but I'm coming on my own from South Central and staying at the Falmouth. Really looking forward to the weekend and hoping to enjoy the 5 hour drive there and back on Friday and again on Sunday!!

Hi Susie don't worry about being on your own, I will be too except for a four legged friend and you will have fun with every one and your 5Big Smile.

Sam is the boss but I drive the car Terry

Am travelling on my own after work on Friday although I know the 'Westerners' going, but don't worry, from the first time I joined a 5 activity on my own, I've found everyone really friendly & helpful. Look forward to seeing you there Big Smile

Re: So, who's already booked their stay in Cornwall ?

Thanks for the positive responses to my coming on my own, can anyone tell me which would be the best drives in order to get the most out of Saturday. I'm assuming Route A (Best of the West)????

From a brief look at the proposed routes, I can honestly say that any of them will be very rewarding. If I had to choose, I would go for Route A because it (probably) includes the St Just to St Ives stretch. Best advice: download the routes, try one during the Rally weekend then come back soon and drive the other three. Proper job!

Unfortunately Mum in law not well, although back in Falmouth, which makes life easier, ( long recovery time),  so need to spend time with her as well.

Downloading runs to do another time is an excellent idea, Thumbs up.............how do I bribe those pesky animals by the river all the other times thouWink

Best way to placate the creatures is to bring any of P**m*n*st*r's (no product placement!) excellent products and leave it as an offering on the bonnet of a black mk2 with a chrome filler cap and smoked rear light clusters at the Rally. Not guaranteed to work, and the more pies offered up, the better the chance of appeasing the piskies ... but watch out for Bucca and the Knockers, too.

Have shown relevant pictures to my little escort army so think I should be OKWink, just filling out my booking form for drives etc, only 75 days to go (if I can count properly at this time of night) Dancing

Re: So, who's already booked their stay in Cornwall ?

I've not booked any of the drives, as I'm lucky enough to be able to do them any fine weekend, but I have booked some Heligan passes. Springtime in a Cornish garden is hard to beat.

    Not long now!
