    hi all, newbie here.

    Got my first MX5, love it. 2001 1.8s VT-s.

    I used to own a VW Camper and we all done a 'v' sign to each other on the road. Do MX5 owners wave, any special waves I need to be aware of so I dont react like I just got the finger or something? ;-)

     You will get plenty of waves, flashes & plenty of blank looks so go for it!

    I do it without thinking having driven MGBs & Spitfires back in the day.

     no special wave, just a wave or acknowledgement of any kind.....you won't always get one back but keep trying...the more we do it, the more people will be inclined to join in WavingWavingWaving

    Yup!
    Go for the wave.
    As already said, you won't always get them back but keep at them and if you accidentally wave to an S2K don't be surprised when you get one back>
    My return percentage ratio is quite high for S2K return waves Big Smile

    Waving not drowning to ALL MKs regardless of 1,2 or 3 ~ Un Mx-5s pour l'année ~ non seulement pour l'été!!

     Ive had a few waves Waving but most of the time i get blank looks lol

     Hi I'm quite new too, I wave at other MX5ers and grin madly... have had a couple of waves but mostly blank stares!  I used to be a biker and we used to nod at each other.  Have to say I don't care if I don't get a wave back, it just makes me laugh to wave at complete strangers! hehehehe Stick Tongue Out

    Thats a definate yes

    I always wave to fellow 5ers and up here it seems any sports car with it's roof down will wave at you, but there are quite a few folk with 5s who are not in the OC and look a bit dazzled when you wave at them but hope they will pick up the idea. the spirit of the OC seems to be give a fellow 5er a wave and help and assist a fellow 5er who needs it.
