8. Private Messages (PM)
a) If you send someone a private message, there is no need to announce it on the forum. If they visit the forum, they will get it.  REALLY???
b) Private messages are that;   private messages   (REALLY). Do not repeat them on the forum, without the express permission of the originator. If you feel a PM violates Forum rules, please feel free to report it to one of the Admin, who will deal with it in a sensitive and confidential manner.
c) If you are sent a PM you must not publish it on this, or any other, website without the consent of the author. If the content is questionable, please contact the forum admin (same applies to emails).
d) We do not tolerate threatening or aggressive PMs. Such behaviour will result in a ban from the forum and may result in expulsion from the MX5 Owners Club.
e) Any attempt to imply a threat, through code or suchlike, to any member of the Forum via the PM, will also be treated as a serious violation of the Forum rules.

And how many club members and forum user know about this.......

f) The administrators reserve the right to view and discuss PMs (such as in the event of a complaint, etc). so what is the ETC??????????????????????

Well,well well, this explains why the P.M's I have sent have been over read, and i have been testing this over the last couple of weeks, if i have sent a P.M which stands for PRIVATE MESSAGE BY THE WAY, they will be with info and my PRIVATE NUMBER and E_MAIL ADDRESS for that owner as the info will be easier to explain in a conversation most of the time and they can ring me as and when they get stuck and i can point them in the right direction WITH MY FREE TIME FOR THE GREATER GOOD OF OWNERSHIP, i have said this before else where......I FLY NO ONES FLAG BUT MY OWN AND AUTOLINKS, and the owners that love these roadsters, i could not care less whether owners are a member on here or not, black white,whatever Mk they own ,back ground, country forum or club, as long as they have the passion and love for these great little roadsters then i am here to help.

IF i send a P.M on here to a club member or forum member ( i must get that right, big line there) then that is my choice and i am not happy that the OWNERS CLUB have free rein to spy on who they please whenever they wish to, I HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE, just ask me and i will have no bones about being honest and straight with it.

I am on here to help,no other reason, if the OC takes me the wrong way, then thats their look out not mine, i am sure even with P.M'ing my number, there are a lot of happy owners from off here that have been put right in whatever they are tackling or stuck with, when i have the time to put some good written with pic's on how to's when I can fit it in with a full time job a young family helping owners being hands on, answering e-mails texts,phone calls and god knows what else, and my spelling gets better, it's not the best and i make no bones on that, as this will be checked through word, plus not hitting any sh*t about using a S/steel bolt and fighting your corner EVERYTIME you post up good honest done that loads of times info, tricks of the tread are just that and are time tested by many I am not into wasting my time, because time is the most pressious thing i have to give, so if i spend all the time on putting something together for the greater good to be viewed ,the last thing i want is to be lost in hundreds of threads, just like this one, i have posted in the past info that owners keep asking for,are they in the FAQ's section???? NO

I don't do this for a living anymore, but the owners that i sold,repaired and upgraded these for,would not let me disappear, because they still needed me,so i do what i can in my spare time,which i now have none of anymore, owners asked me to join the forums to help even more, which I did. my phone is always on for one someone who needs the help, and my P.m's,e-mails a text's all get answered asap,as and when i can fit everything in, with also being on a number of forums also, i can just spend hours in the evenings answering questions,weekends everyone pops round to wayne massion and the Bat Cave II

I can either be of use to the OC or not, either way i am not ar*ed, this to me has never been about a club or badge but the owners and their roadsters, everytime and always will be, you can either have me around or not, I get nothing from this club and never have done, the club gets me helping your members/forum users, one day you will get me and what i am about, but until then i will carry on fighting my corner on here to help other owners and p.m'ing if i feel that i need to, because i should have that piece of mind to do so AND THEM BE WHAT THEY SHOULD BE.........PRIVATE .

But why is it that the main hands on owners that are helping on here for the greater good are the ones that are always looked down on from up above, because of not having a badge to wear and are always seen as sh*t kickers????Just because we do not have that position and badge does not mean that we do not know what we are talking about, give me a badge and i'll fit in, oh but you won't will you. lol, 1 is enough,,,,,,there is a saying,many hands make light work.

Well........ yesterday I sent myself a PM which contained no text and funnily enough I didnt feel the need to `view` it yet it has been viewed, and im pretty sure I know by who as threre was only one moderator `online` at the time. He knows who he is and has overstepped the line

We have been told repeatedly PMs are exactly that and a new line in the sand has been sneaked in.

If that's true Taff, I find it disgusting that someone has been reading members PM's.

I have looked at my number of emails read now you've said this & to be honest. I'm not happy as i don't remember reading them that many times either.

Can some one clarify this please & not just forget about it like the other times i have asked for feedback over certain points. No beating about the bush just straight answeres please.

Well I KNOW mine have been , if i choice to P.M info or my number THEN I CHOOSE TO DO SO, and should not be made to feel that i have done something wrong like a bl**dy young school kid

Regarding views, see other posts in the site discussion area. I'd post a link but I'm out with a friend because I don't spend my time on a pc reading pms! Put simply I have far better things to do. Watching paint dry is one of them! :)

We have discussed this before, but I can't find the thread.  The read count on a pm can in certain circumstances go up even if you, or the other person in the conversation does not look at it.  All post on this forum have a number as part of their ID.  And by sticking in random numbers in the address you can come up with random posts.  PMs also have these numerical IDs and you can happen apon a pm by simply sticking in these random numbers.  When the likes of Google are crawling across and indexing this site it appears they will simply ready posts one after another by just using the next post in numerical order.  That post can be a PM, the contents can't be viewed but the forum still registers it as a hit, and the count goes up.

but no one can read it apart from the sender and the receiver... but google can find it and add to the read count just by trawling the site numerically... 

 And put simply so have i also, but i know they have been read heres a brush and some paint.
