    Cracking road nr Buxton Derbyshire.

One of my favorite roads in my neck of the woods is the B5053 (off the A515 at Brierlow Bar to Froghall) proper B road driving!

Living in the Peak District, as we do, I can say if you get off the beaten track, especially around Buxton, (try the C roads), there are some cracking driving roads, ideal for the well balanced MX5.

good road that, driven many many times, i myself like the A623 jus about SE of sparrowpit, nice double bend there in a dip, so much more grip going round that, bit it your going north, BE VERY CAREFUL, there is a small kink about 1/2mile or so north of the "nice" bend, basically it kinks to the left then a HORRID, SHARP left hander that drops away.

You are lucky as well Mackers, we were in your neck of the woods earlier this Sepetember (2010). Some great driving roards in North Wales, again off the beaten track.

We did both the Llanberis Pass and Betws-y-Coed this year. We also did a round trip of Anglesey on the day we arrived, mainly taking little back roads, which were very quite apart from a ton of midges in the air.

My job takes me on some fantastic roads but the problem is by the time we get out in the 5 I can't remember where most of them are!!!  Hitting head on wall

Unless that road has multiple high speedhumps, and potholes. My third undertray is a testament to that. An iced up road, going uphill, is also pretty ropey in an MX5.
