New Track - RAF Wittering Oakham Nr, Peterborough with Javelin

    New Track - RAF Wittering Oakham Nr, Peterborough with Javelin

    Just spotted this on the Javelin website and thought it might be of interest as its in our region.

    Javelin have listed this as a new venue with 2 dates in March for £119 

    Saturday 3rd March

    Thursday 22nd March

    A Trackday event on the currently active MOD base of RAF Wittering. We will be using a 1.8 mile circuit that comprises some challenging aspects including a mix of open flowing corners and some tighter sections too. Surfaces are excellent as you would expect from an airfield that until recently very active. The circuit is predominantly tarmac with small amounts of some smooth concrete in the tighter dispersal sections.

    It Clashes with a Drift Day for me on the Sunday and don't think I can manage 2 or afford 2 come to that on the same weekend.

    I think I may try this though as its a new venue and Javelin will be keen to see if its succesful so that they can hold more events there.

    I am going to speak to them at Autosport at the weekend so will see if they have any other info.

     I have done it, all booked and paid for. Should be good. Am i right in saying this will just be when the clocks go forward?? Might get an extra hour in Big Smile

    Nice one Paul, I see another guy has also booked on so that's 4 MX5's and I think Ken may come along too.

    Clocks change on 25th March so unless you have booked a different date to us you won't get the extra hour.

     Its Good seeing all them MX5'S on the list.

     From a Marshals point of view i hope they are all different colours so its not to difficalt to indenify you out there, only Jocking, Im really looking forward to seeing the layout!

    How about different shade's as Blue seems popular, you will need to watch the one with gold wheels as sidways is normal to him!
