    Ecstacy the Eunos!

Just realised I haven't posted any photos of my car on here!  Here are some when I bought it.

And here are some after I've chnaged a couple of bits.  I've had the suspension and wheel alignment set up for track use, installed TSIs, swapped the door mirrors for body colour ones, de-tango'd and de-badged.

Yes, reg plate is a bit off - was like that when I bought it and don't want to risk removing it in case the paint is damaged.

I like the contrasting TSIs too.  I was originally going to paint them the same colour as the body but when they were installed I was surprised how much I thought they looked okay.  Will definitely be leaving them for now.

Nice looking weapon you have there! Some nice improvements. Where are your sidelights or indicators, whichever you have forgone to have those vents in place at the front?

Sidelights are now wired into the headlights.  Indicators are wired into the vents.

    Re: Ecstacy the Eunos!

Had some new Gaz Gold Pros coilovers put on the car today.  Ride is so much better now-  can't wait to get back on track to properly test them out.

Had the car corner-weighed by Rodders today. It came in at 1020kgs with the fuel tank 3/4 full. I reckon this equates to about 995kgs with very little/nil fuel.

The car has PAS, elec windows/mirrors and a roll bar so its pretty much a full fat version. After the summer I may think about removing the soft top which should save a further ~20kgs?

Thanks.  The coilovers are new and haven't settled yet so it should sit lower in time for my next track day at Donington on 11 Mar.

    Re: Ecstacy the Eunos!

I swapped my old, big Nardi steering wheel for a 300mm OMP one today.  Feels the perfect size when driving at speed so should be good for track days (although not the best when parking).

Because the wheel is a fair bit smaller than OEM I find that the I can't see the top of the rev/speed dials now.  No big deal though as the needle comes back into view when I get to 6k rpm so I'll just have to set that as my new minimum revs when driving! Good Job

    Will post photo tomorrow.
