It will soon be that time of year again - are you ready for the fun?!

"Competetive Clive  " and "Got to win John"are ready to take us all on again. The handicap system worked well last year, they didn't win!! I'm demanding at least a 3 lap start, yes, it seems as if even I'm picking up the controls! For those of you that haven't been before it is a just a giant Scalextrix, six cars on the track each time and it's computer controlled so no problems with timings, positions etc.

We need 16 "racers" as a minimum so please come and join us, its loads of fun, I will bring flasks of coffee again and perhaps a cake or two! Of course the bar in the pub will be available too.

Racing will start at 8pm.

Please add you names to this thread as soon as possible so we can confirm the booking.

Sorry - forgot to tell you where it is held! Station Hotel, Loughborough. Its on the A6 heading into town from the Kegworth/Derby side of town. Nowhere near the present day station which can be somewhat confusing! Full address 106 Derby Road, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE11 5AG

Hi All you budding speed freaks, the good news is, There's no speed limit on the slot car track

but if you haven't been before be careful on the corners, we should have enough marshal's

( BTW, that's what we do when not racing) Good to hear Karen is bringing lots of coffee)

As has been said, there is a pub where you can buy the usual Beverage's, at least there has been

for a good many years, called The Station Inn, I'll contact our Slot Car man at the track tonight

just to make sure the pub refreshment are still available, will post again later

looking forward to it already, not too sure about the three lap penalty mentioned in previous email

last year we had a few up and coming stars shall I say, hope there are more this year, anyway it's

all good fun

Hi Slot car racers,

I have been in touch with Bob at the Slot Car track tonight, regarding arrangements, all is sorted

I can confirm The Pub at the back of the club will be serving hot and cold food, Chips, Peas, Scampi, Cottage Pie,

Quite a few more items on the menu and then there are varies choices for something hot or cold to drink

If anyone would like to Pre book food or you need any other information please phone the pub on 

01509 216282, mention the Slot car night on 11th April.

We need between twelve and Twenty drivers,so looking good so far, if you are joining us
