Re: The prettiest generation of MX5s?

The mk1 is Twiggy in her 1960s prime, driving a Lotus Elan along Carnaby Street with "love me do" on the radio.

The mk2 is Joanna Lumley as Purdey in the New Avengers, sandwiched between the bloke who sold coffee and the older one wearing the second most famous male corset (with the most famous being Captain Kirk).

The mk3 is Keira Knightley (that often?) buckling a swash in the Carribean.

But which one is the prettiest? That's an impossible question. I'd have Twiggy on Mondays and Thursdays, Purdey on Tuesdays and Fridays and Keira on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

And on Sunday I'd need a rest.

It's an immutable law of the universe that proper sports cars have to have pop up headlights I'm afraid. Just the way it is. Sorry. Stick Tongue Out

Looking at the scores imagine how pretty it would have been if they had made a Mk1.5

They did; Mazda called it the Series 2 NA, introduced mid-1995; revised interior trim (for Japan and USA; new seats) and minor changes to the controls, some new colours, new engine management etc.

I personally think the MK3.5 is the prettiest (MK2.5 owner here).
