    Font Family and Font size

Is it possible to change the default Font family and Font size so as not having to change it everytime  a thread is posted?

I have to ask why you need/want to do it in normal postings, I can see the point if you want to emphasise something?

No, there is no way to do it, largely for the reason that Geoff said - the font tools are great if you want to put a bit of emphesis on a point or whatever, but if everybody was to have their own little style, posts would quickly look messy and become hard to read.
